Despite the fact that the construction industry has existed for as long as houses and buildings have been constructed, there is still no legislation in The Bahamas to regulate and govern the activities of the industry or protect the consumer from unscrupulous "contractors."

 The Bahamian Contractors' Association (BCA) is a group of local contractors who believe that in order to move the industry forward it is necessary to provide regulation of the construction industry in order to provide the much-needed protection of both the consumer and the contractor.
The BCA has a proactive approach to some very important
issues threatening our industry that will require a great deal of effort,
union and thought.
We need your support and we need you to promote the BCA to other Contractors.
We will have strength in numbers.
